A collective noun is a word used to define a group of objects. For example, in the phrase ‘a pride of lions’, pride is the collective noun.
Here are some that I reckon should be added to the official list:
- An ambush of salespeople.
- A gush of sycophants.
- A hatchet of restructures.
- A huff of exes.
- A google of geeks.
- A lechery of priests.
- An absence of waiters.
- A flounce of teenagers.
- A nag of inlaws.
- An ulcer of deadlines.
- An excess of bloggers.
